Spin Wheel / Prize Wheel (Pro)

Updated September 11, 2026

The Prize Wheel lets customers spin for a chance at points, a cash voucher or a free product. It is a Pro earning method, configured under Points & Rewards › Settings › Ways to Earn › Spin Wheel.

Set the prizes

Each prize on the wheel has a label, a type, a value, a probability and a colour.

  • Points – awards the points value. Level multipliers apply, so a higher-tier customer wins more from the same segment.
  • Voucher – creates a fixed-cart WooCommerce coupon for the value, restricted to the winner’s email address and limited to a single use.
  • Product – creates a 100% discount coupon for one specific product, again tied to the winner and limited to one use and one item.

Leave a label blank and one is generated for you from the prize type and value, such as “500 Points” or “$10 Voucher”.

How the odds work

Probability is a weight, not a percentage. The plugin adds up the probabilities of every prize and picks within that total, so the numbers do not need to total 100. Three prizes weighted 50, 30 and 20 behave exactly the same as 5, 3 and 2.

A prize with a probability of 0 is removed from the wheel entirely – it is not drawn as a segment and can never be won. That is the way to retire a prize without deleting it.

Prize colours

Each prize has its own Color setting. Leave it unset and the wheel falls back to its built-in palette, assigned by segment position, so an unconfigured wheel still looks deliberate.

How often customers can spin

The cooldown controls the free spin:

  • Daily – one spin per calendar day in your site’s timezone.
  • Every X hours – a rolling window measured from the last spin.
  • Weekly – one per calendar week.
  • Once – a single spin per customer, ever.

The dashboard tells customers when their next free spin is due rather than simply disabling the button.

Extra spins beyond the free one

Bonus spins are separate from the cooldown. A customer holding bonus spins can spin immediately, and each spin consumes one before the free-spin timer is touched. Three ways to grant them:

  • Spins for orders – awarded when an order is placed. Set an amount per spin and the order earns one spin per whole multiple of that amount, measured on the subtotal after discounts and excluding shipping and tax. Leave the amount at 0 for a flat one spin per order.
  • Spins on level up – granted when a customer reaches a new level. Downgrades and the starter level never trigger it.
  • Buying spins with points – see below.

Letting customers buy spins

Enable buy spins and set a points cost per spin, with your own heading, description and button text. Points are deducted atomically: if a customer’s balance no longer covers the purchase, it is refused outright rather than partially applied, so spins can never be bought with points already spent elsewhere.
