In addition to reward vouchers, you can allow customers to apply their entire points balance as a direct monetary discount at checkout. This is a separate feature from reward vouchers and is configured under Points & Rewards › Settings › Rewards › Points Discount at Checkout.

Enabling the Feature

1. Go to Points & Rewards › Settings › Rewards.
2. Find the Points Discount at Checkout section.
3. Enable the toggle.
4. Set the Value per Point – the monetary amount each point is worth (e.g. £0.01 means 100 points = £1 discount).

How It Works for Customers

When this feature is active, customers see an option on the cart or checkout page to apply their points balance as a discount. The applied discount appears as a negative fee line item labeled “Points Redemption”.

• The maximum discount is the customer’s full available balance.
• Points are deducted from the customer’s balance when the order is placed.
• If the order is cancelled or refunded, and Deduct on Refund is enabled, the points are returned.

Interaction with Earning Points

If you enable Skip Earning if Redeemed on the Points for Purchases settings, customers who apply a points discount will not earn points on that order. This prevents customers from gaming the system by redeeming and immediately re-earning the same points.

Checkout Box

The Checkout Box is a dedicated panel in the cart and checkout that displays the customer’s points balance alongside the redemption option, making it easier to find than the totals row on its own. It is included in the free version and is configured under Points & Rewards › Settings › Checkout Box.
