Sign-Up Bonus

Updated September 11, 2026

The Sign-Up Bonus awards a one-time points reward when a customer creates a WooCommerce / WordPress account. Configure it under Points & Rewards › Settings › Ways to Earn › Sign-Up Bonus.

Configuration Options

  • Enabled – Toggle the sign-up bonus on or off.
  • Action Name – The label shown in the customer’s points history for this event (e.g. “Welcome Bonus”).
  • Points – How many points to award on sign-up.
  • Show Guest Message – Display a message to non-logged-in visitors on the Rewards page encouraging them to sign up and earn the bonus.
  • Hide After Rewarded – Once a customer has received the bonus, hide the sign-up earning method from their dashboard’s “Ways to Earn” list to avoid confusion.

How It Works

Points are awarded automatically the first time a new user account is registered. The bonus is only awarded once per account – if a customer already has the sign-up bonus in their history, it will not be awarded again.

Displaying the Sign-Up Incentive

You can show a teaser message to logged-out visitors by enabling Show Guest Message. This is useful on the Rewards page or when using the [simple_points_rewards] shortcode on public pages.
