Earning Points Overview

Simple Points & Rewards supports numerous ways for customers to earn points. Each earning method can be individually enabled, named, and configured. The earning methods also respect your configured Levels multiplier – customers on higher tiers earn points faster.
Available Earning Methods

Configuring Earning Methods
Ways to earn are managed under Points & Rewards › Settings › Ways to Earn. Each one has an on/off switch and an Edit button for its settings.
In Pro, the list is grouped in the same way as the customer’s rewards dashboard: Shopping, Refer friends and Activities. Drag a group by its handle to change the order the groups appear in on the dashboard. Drag a way to earn to move it within its own group. A way to earn cannot be moved into a different group.
- Shopping: Points for Spending, Points for Orders, First Order Bonus, Nth Order Bonus, Order Streak and Product Offers & Bonuses.
- Refer friends: Referral System, with Points for Social Sharing.
- Activities: Signup Bonus, Write a Review, Points for Birthdays, Daily Login Bonus, Prize Wheel and any custom ways to earn.
Points Multipliers
If you have the Levels system enabled, customers on higher levels earn points at an increased rate. For example, a Gold level customer with a 1.5× multiplier earns 150 points for every 100 base points. Multipliers apply to all earning methods.
Points Label
All earning methods use the global Points Label configured under the Points Label settings tab. You can call your points anything – Stars, Coins, Credits, etc.
