Store credit pairs with the Simple Points and Rewards plugin so customers can turn loyalty points into spendable credit. When both are active, Store Credit › Settings › Points and Rewards confirms the connection and explains the flow. There is nothing to configure on the store credit side.

How the two fit together

1. Simple Points and Rewards awards points for purchases, sign-ups, reviews, referrals and so on.
2. In that plugin you create a reward that gives store credit when redeemed – either a credit voucher or a top-up to the account balance.
3. Customers redeem points for the reward and receive store credit they can spend at checkout, managed here.

All the configuration lives inside Simple Points and Rewards, and the settings tab links straight to it.

Cashback or points?

The two plugins overlap on rewarding purchases, and running both rewards at once is usually a mistake. Pick one model:

• Cashback (PRO, in this plugin) is immediate and easy to understand – a percentage back as credit with no separate currency to learn.
• Points add a tier of earning and redemption, with points awarded for things other than spending, and store credit as one of the rewards they can be exchanged for.

If you run points, leave cashback switched off so a single order does not reward the customer twice.
