Design the voucher gift card image

Updated September 14, 2026

Every voucher can carry a generated gift-card image showing the amount and the code. It appears at the top of each voucher in the customer’s My Account area, in the redemption tool, and anywhere the {voucher_card} merge tag is used in an email. Build it under Store Credit › Settings › Vouchers, in the Voucher Gift Card Image section, with Show a gift-card image on each voucher enabled.

A live preview sits beside the controls and updates as you change them, so you can see the result before saving. The preview uses sample values – the real code and amount are filled in per voucher.

Pick a template

Template sets the overall look: Classic, Modern, Minimal, Festive or Ticket. Card title is the wording across the top, and separate switches control whether the title and your store name are shown at all.

Background

  • Solid color – a single background colour.
  • Gradient – blends the background colour into a gradient end colour.
  • Pattern – dots, grid, diagonal lines, chevron or confetti over the background colour.
  • Custom image – your own artwork, scaled to cover the whole card.

Logo, colours and layout

Add a Logo image and place it in any corner or the centre. Text color and Accent color control the lettering, and the amount and the code each have their own position and size, given as a percentage of the card so they scale correctly at any display size.

Check the contrast between your text colour and the background – a pale accent on a light gradient reads well on screen but poorly once a customer prints or screenshots the card. Watch the preview at a small size as well as a large one.
