The Levels system creates a tiered loyalty programme where customers advance through levels as they accumulate lifetime points. Higher levels earn points faster via multipliers. Configure levels under Points & Rewards → Settings → Levels.
Enabling Levels #
Toggle Enable Levels at the top of the Levels tab. When disabled, all customers earn at the base rate with no tier progression.
Creating Levels #
Click Add Level to create a new tier. Each level has:
- Name – Display name (e.g. “Bronze”, “Silver”, “Gold”, “Platinum”).
- Required Points – Lifetime points needed to reach this level. The starting level should have 0 points required.
- Points Multiplier – How many times the base points rate this level earns. Examples:
- 1.0 = 100% (standard rate)
- 1.25 = 125% (25% bonus)
- 1.5 = 150% (50% bonus)
- 2.0 = 200% (double points)
- Badge Icon – An emoji or Font Awesome icon class shown as the level badge.
- Badge Image URL – A custom image for the level badge.
- Badge Text – Custom text label for the badge.
- Icon Colour (Pro) – Hex colour for Font Awesome icon display.
- Default Level – Mark one level as the starting level for new users.
How Level Progression Works #
Level advancement is based on lifetime earned points (the total points ever awarded, not the current spendable balance). This means spending points on vouchers does not cause a customer to drop down a level.
Levels are evaluated and updated automatically when points are added to a customer’s account. When a customer crosses a level threshold, they are promoted to the new level.
Level-Up Email (Pro) #
Enable a congratulatory email when a customer advances to a new level. Configure the subject and body using level-specific placeholders: {level_name}, {level_icon}, {user_name}.
Level Display #
The current level, badge, progress bar, and points to the next level are displayed on the customer’s Rewards dashboard. Use the Dashboard Customisation tab to control which level elements are shown and their order.
