Usage Limit Per Period (PRO) caps how many times one customer can use a coupon within a time period, such as once a day or three times a month. WooCommerce’s own Usage limit per user is a lifetime cap; this rule resets as time passes.

Find it in the Better Coupon Restrictions tab on the coupon edit screen.

Set a limit

1. Edit the coupon and open the Better Coupon Restrictions tab.
2. In Maximum Uses Per Customer, enter the number of uses allowed.
3. After within, enter a number and choose hours, days or the current calendar month.
4. Save the coupon.

Examples:

• 1 within 24 hours: once per rolling day.
• 2 within 7 days: twice per rolling week.
• 3 within the current calendar month: three times between the 1st and the end of each month. The number box is ignored for this option.

“Hours” and “days” are rolling periods counted back from now. The calendar month starts at midnight on the 1st in the store timezone.

How uses are counted

The plugin counts this customer’s orders placed within the period that used the coupon code.

• Logged in customers are matched by account; guests by their billing email.
• Cancelled, failed and refunded orders are ignored. Pending and on-hold orders count.
• For guests, the rule waits until an email address is entered at checkout.

Message: “You have already used this coupon the maximum number of times for this period.”

Use Custom Error Message in this section to change it. {value} is replaced with the limit.
