Restrict a coupon by customer address (PRO)

The Customer Address section (PRO) limits a coupon to customers in particular countries, states, cities or postcodes, and can cap how many times the coupon is used at one address. It is in the Better Coupon Restrictions tab on the coupon edit screen.
Address Type
Choose Billing Address or Shipping Address. Every rule in this section uses the address you choose here.
Allowed Countries
Choose the countries where the coupon can be used.
Allowed State or Province
Enter a comma separated list. Each entry is matched in full, not case sensitive, against the state code (such as CA), the state’s name (such as California) or the city. So CA, Nevada, Seattle accepts California, Nevada, and anyone with Seattle as the city.
Allowed Zip / Postcode
Enter a comma separated list. Spaces and letter case are ignored.
- An entry without a star must match the whole postcode:
SW1A 1AA. - An entry ending in
*matches any postcode starting with it:SW1*or902*.
Maximum Usage Per Address
The maximum number of orders at the same street address that can use this coupon. The count uses the first address line and the postcode together, and both must be entered before the rule is checked. Cancelled, failed and refunded orders do not count.
Message: “This coupon has reached its usage limit.”
When address rules are checked
Country, state and postcode rules are skipped until the customer has entered that part of their address. A coupon can therefore apply on the cart page and then be removed at checkout if the address does not qualify.
Custom message
One Custom Error Message covers the whole section. The default messages are “This coupon is not valid for your country.”, “This coupon is not available for your state, city or province.” and “This coupon is not valid for your zip / postcode.”
