Better Coupon Restrictions comes as a free plugin and a PRO version. The free plugin covers product, cart, date, customer status, role and checkout method rules. PRO adds rules based on customer history, location and behaviour, plus global restrictions and rejection analytics.

Both versions use the same saved data. If you upgrade, restrictions you set in the free version keep working.

Free features

• Improved Product Restrictions: allowed products with a minimum and maximum quantity per product or variation, plus excluded products.
• Improved Category Restrictions: the same for categories, with an option to add up quantities across the whole cart.
• Product Attribute Restrictions: allow or exclude products that have a given attribute.
• Cart: minimum cart quantity, minimum cart subtotal and minimum cart weight.
• Date: allowed date range, allowed time of day, allowed calendar months and allowed weekdays.
• Customer Status: new customers only, and logged in or logged out shoppers only.
• Customer User Role: allowed and disallowed user roles.
• Payment & Shipping Method: allowed and disallowed payment methods and shipping methods.
• Custom Error Message for every section.
• The shop-manager-only note that names the restriction that rejected a coupon.

PRO features

• Global Restrictions: new customers only, logged in status, individual use, exclude sale items, and referring domain and IP lists applied to every coupon, with a per coupon Ignore Global Restrictions option.
• Customer Address: billing or shipping country, state or city, postcode, and maximum usage per address.
• Customer Email: allowed and disallowed email domains.
• Customer Order History: minimum total spent and minimum number of orders.
• Usage Limit Per Period: maximum uses per customer within a number of hours, days, or the current calendar month.
• Purchase History: must have, or must not have, purchased specific products.
• Time Since Last Order and Time Registered.
• Referring Domain and IP Address restrictions, including maximum usage per IP address.
• Meta Data and Cookie restrictions.
• Coupon Link: apply a coupon from a link, and optionally make the code valid only through that link.
• Rejection Analytics: the Coupon Rejections report, a per coupon log and a rejections column on the coupons list.

Using PRO features

PRO features only work while the PRO plugin is active and its licence is activated. If the PRO sections are still greyed out, see PRO features are greyed out or missing.
