Run a store-wide report for all customers

Updated September 15, 2026

Leaving the customer search box empty and selecting Generate Report runs the report across every customer on your store rather than one individual. The heading reads Showing report for all customers and the rest of the report works exactly as it does for a single customer.

What a store-wide report is good for

  • Your best selling products and categories over a given period.
  • Which coupons are actually being redeemed, and what they are costing in discount.
  • Which payment methods and shipping methods your customers use most.
  • Which sources and campaigns your orders come from, on the Attribution tab.
  • Product affinity across your whole customer base, which is what you want for planning bundles and cross-sells.

What is different

There is no single customer to describe, so the parts of the report that only make sense per person are not shown or are empty:

  • There is no profile panel, and no Cart tab.
  • The Pro Recommended Actions panel asks you to choose a specific customer.
  • Averages such as average time between orders are calculated across all orders on the store, not per customer, so treat them as a store rhythm rather than a customer one.

The order limit

A report covers at most the 10,000 most recent orders. On most stores a single customer will never come close, but a store-wide report over a long period easily can. When the limit is reached, a notice appears at the top of the report saying so.

If you see that notice, narrow the date range and run the report again. A quarter at a time will give you exact figures where all time will not. Developers can change the limit with a filter.

Performance

Store-wide reports are built from the WooCommerce Analytics tables wherever possible, which makes them far faster than reading every order. If your store does not have those tables, or Analytics has fallen a long way behind, the report falls back to reading orders directly and will take noticeably longer to open.
