With PRO you can add the same spoken text to the start or end of every audio file, such as a welcome line, a sponsor message or a reminder to subscribe. Set it in AI Text-to-Speech › Settings › Content Customisations › Custom Text Before Content and Custom Text After Content.

Set up a global intro and outro

1. Go to AI Text-to-Speech › Settings and open the Content Customisations tab.
2. In Custom Text Before Content, enter what should be read before the article, for example: “Thanks for listening to the Daily Garden blog.”
3. In Custom Text After Content, enter what should be read at the end, for example: “You can find more guides at dailygarden dot com.”
4. Click Save Changes.

The text is added to audio you generate from now on. Existing files don’t change, so regenerate a post if you want the new intro or outro in it.

Where the text is placed

For posts, the order is: title, author and date intro (if enabled), then your before text, then the post content, then your after text. On the Generator page, the before and after text wrap the text you enter.

Global text is skipped when a post uses Replace Content in its own AI TTS box, because that option replaces everything. It is still added when a post uses Insert Before and After; in that case the per-post text sits inside the global text.

Tips for writing spoken text

• Write it the way it should sound. Web addresses and symbols are read literally, so “example dot com” is often clearer than a URL.
• End each piece with a full stop so there’s a clean break between it and the article.
• HTML and line breaks are removed when saved, so keep it as plain sentences.
• Custom pronunciations also apply to this text.
• The extra characters are included in every request, so a long intro adds a little to each file’s cost.
