Filter reports by date range and order status
Updated September 15, 2026
The filter bar at the top of WooCommerce › Customer Reports controls which orders a report is built from. Change a filter and select Generate Report again to rebuild the report against it.
Date range
The date range dropdown offers these presets:
- All Time – every order the customer has placed. This is the default.
- This Month – from the first of the current month to the last day of it.
- Last Month – the whole of the previous calendar month.
- This Year (Pro)
- Last Year (Pro)
- Custom (Pro) – enables the two date boxes beside the dropdown so you can pick any start and end date.
With the Pro version, filling in the start date and end date boxes directly takes priority over the preset. Leave them empty to fall back to the preset.
Order status
The order status dropdown limits the report to orders in one status. All Statuses is the default and covers every status except trash.
In the free version you can choose All Statuses or Completed. The remaining statuses are listed but disabled and marked (PRO). Completed is listed first in the dropdown because it is the status most reports are filtered by.
What the filters affect
The date range and status apply to the whole report, not just one tab. Totals, the products and coupons tables, the attribution breakdowns, the orders table and the CSV exports all respect them.
Two things are deliberately outside the filters. The Cart tab shows what is in the customer’s cart right now, which has nothing to do with a historical date range. The Activity log shows recent account activity rather than orders.
Store comparison benchmarks in the Pro version are calculated for the same date range and status as the report, so the customer and the store average are always measured over the same window.
