6 Best YITH WooCommerce Points and Rewards Alternatives (2026)

YITH WooCommerce Points and Rewards is one of the longest-running loyalty plugins for WooCommerce, and it does a lot: levels and badges, a customer ranking, referral points and a long list of earning rules. Store owners usually go looking for an alternative because of what it costs, because there’s no free version to fall back on, or because they want rewards it doesn’t offer, such as free products.

The best alternative depends on why you’re leaving:

One thing to be upfront about: we make Simple Points and Rewards. It’s much newer than YITH, and it doesn’t have a customer ranking, so it isn’t the right swap for every store. Every plugin below has real downsides listed, ours included.

Why store owners look for a YITH Points and Rewards alternative

YITH WooCommerce Points and Rewards product page on the YITH website

It’s fair to start with what YITH does well. Its product page says it’s used by 32,937 customers, it averages 4.24/5 from 120 ratings, and version 4.30.1 came out on 6 October 2026, so it’s actively maintained. You can set earning rules by product, category, user role or level, give extra points for things like birthdays, reviews, daily logins and order counts, and let customers redeem points as a cart discount, free shipping or a coupon code. Levels come with badges, and a ranking shortcode shows your top customers by week, month or all time.

The reasons people move on tend to be these:

  • There’s no free version. YITH closed the free plugin on WordPress.org in November 2021. The premium plugin is £139.99 a year as shown to UK visitors (YITH localises its prices), and the only way to try it is a live demo or the 30-day refund.
  • Rewards are discounts. Points come off the cart as a fixed or percentage discount, free shipping or a coupon. A free product isn’t one of the listed reward types.
  • Some features rely on other YITH plugins. Membership-only earning needs YITH Membership, and custom email layouts come through YITH Email Templates. That’s fine if you already use them, and an extra cost if you don’t.
  • It needs a recent setup. The current version lists WordPress 6.9 and WooCommerce 11.0 as minimums, so stores that can’t update yet are stuck on older YITH releases.

If you use the customer ranking or YITH’s “target” banners in My Account, check you can do without them before switching. We didn’t find a direct equivalent in any of the plugins below.

How we compared these plugins

We build WooCommerce loyalty plugins ourselves, including one on this list. To keep the list useful for YITH users, we only included plugins that can run a full points program for WooCommerce. We went through each one’s live pricing page, its WordPress.org, WooCommerce.com or CodeCanyon listing and its documentation, and checked one thing in particular: whether it can bring your YITH points across. Everything was checked on 11 October 2026.

1. Simple Points and Rewards for WooCommerce

The customer Rewards dashboard under My Account, showing the points balance, total earned and level, with 5, 10 and 20 USD vouchers to claim for 500, 1,000 and 2,000 points

This is our plugin, so weigh what follows with that in mind. Simple Points and Rewards covers most of what YITH users rely on: points for spending, sign-ups and referrals, levels with badges and a points multiplier, and rewards customers claim from a Rewards tab in My Account. Points can become a voucher, a free product, free shipping or a discount at checkout.

The part that matters most if you’re leaving YITH is the migration tool. It’s in the free version, and it appears under Points & Rewards › Migration while YITH is still active. For each customer it imports the current YITH balance, their lifetime points (added up from YITH’s points log) and their birthday, and you choose whether to replace or add to any existing balances. It doesn’t bring over YITH’s points history, referral links or coupons customers already converted from points. The migration guide covers the steps.

Some of YITH’s extras need PRO here: points for birthdays, reviews and daily logins, points expiry, unlimited levels and the floating rewards widget. There’s no customer ranking at all, and the plugin is young. It came out in November 2025 and has 475+ active installs and 7 reviews so far, against YITH’s tens of thousands of customers.

Best for: stores that want to try a replacement for free and bring their customers’ YITH balances across in one step.

Better than YITH for:

  • A free version and a free YITH importer
  • Free product rewards

Not as good as YITH for:

  • Customer rankings and My Account banners, which it doesn’t have
  • Track record, with 7 reviews so far

Price: free on WordPress.org. PRO is $11.99 a month, $99.99 a year or $349.99 for a lifetime license (one site), with 25% off the first payment at the time of writing, a 7-day free trial and a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Get the free version from WordPress.org or start a PRO trial at relywp.com.

2. Loyalty Program for WooCommerce (Advanced Coupons)

Loyalty Program for WooCommerce page on the Advanced Coupons website

Advanced Coupons’ Loyalty Program is the other plugin here with a migration tool that lists YITH by name, alongside WooCommerce Points and Rewards and SUMO Reward Points. Customers earn points for purchases, reviews and referring friends.

The main difference from YITH is how points are spent. Customers redeem them as store credit that stays on their account, rather than a one-off discount, and you can also offer product and coupon rewards. It fits well if you already use Advanced Coupons for your other promotions.

There’s no free version of the loyalty plugin, and the advertised prices are 50% first-year discounts, so the renewal is double what you pay at first. It also doesn’t advertise badges or a customer ranking.

Best for: stores that want points to become store credit and want a YITH importer.

Better than YITH for:

  • Redeeming points as store credit
  • Working with the wider Advanced Coupons toolkit

Not as good as YITH for:

  • Renewal price, at $199 a year for one site
  • Badges and rankings, which it doesn’t advertise

Price: $99.50 for the first year on one site (Growth) or $199.50 for unlimited sites (Business), renewing at $199 and $399 a year. It’s also in the All Access bundle at $249 for the first year and $498 a year after. There’s a 14-day money-back guarantee.

3. WPLoyalty

WPLoyalty website, a points, rewards and referral plugin for WooCommerce by Flycart

WPLoyalty, from Flycart, has the most WordPress.org reviews of any plugin here: 5/5 from more than 300, with 3,000+ active installs. Instead of one set of earning rules, you build campaigns for each action, with their own conditions and start and end dates.

The free version is limited to points for purchases, redeemed as coupons. Pro adds most of what YITH users are used to: points for sign-ups, reviews, referrals, birthdays and daily logins, VIP levels, and free product, free shipping and percentage rewards. The pop-up rewards panel is a separate add-on.

Its migration add-on imports from WP Swings, WooCommerce Loyalty Points & Rewards and the official WooCommerce extension, but YITH isn’t on the list. You’d need to bring balances across another way, or ask Flycart’s support how they’d handle it.

Best for: stores that want scheduled, rule-based campaigns and a plugin with plenty of reviews behind it.

Better than YITH for:

  • Campaigns you can schedule in advance
  • A free version to start with

Not as good as YITH for:

  • Moving from YITH, as there’s no YITH importer
  • The free version, which only covers points for purchases

Price: free on WordPress.org. Pro is $105 a year for one site, $155 for three or $295 for ten, with cheaper multi-year plans, frequent sale discounts and a 14-day money-back guarantee.

4. Points and Rewards for WooCommerce (WP Swings)

Points and Rewards for WooCommerce Pro page on the WP Swings website

WP Swings’ plugin has the most active installs of the free options here, at 7,000+, and averages 4.5/5 from 180 reviews on WordPress.org. Customers redeem points at the cart or checkout, and the free version includes up to two membership levels.

Pro unlocks unlimited levels and badges, referral rewards, points for products and categories, points expiry, and products customers can only buy with points. Pro also has gamified campaigns, such as a spin-the-wheel pop-up and quizzes.

There’s no YITH importer. Its changelog mentions a CSV points import, and YITH can export points to CSV, but we couldn’t find documentation saying the two formats match, so test it on a staging site first.

Best for: stores that want membership tiers and a well-used free version.

Better than YITH for:

  • A free version with membership levels
  • Products that can only be bought with points (Pro)

Not as good as YITH for:

  • Moving from YITH, without a dedicated importer
  • Referral rewards, which need Pro

Price: free on WordPress.org. Pro is $99 a year for one site, $199 for five or $409 for ten, with two-year options and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

5. SUMO Reward Points

SUMO Reward Points product page on the Fantastic Plugins website

SUMO Reward Points is sold on CodeCanyon for a one-time payment, which makes it the cheapest option here over a few years. It has around 7,000 sales, is rated 4.61/5 from more than 330 ratings, and was last updated in August 2026.

It has member levels and a refer-a-friend system, like YITH, and adds two things YITH doesn’t list: a payment gateway that lets customers pay with points, and products priced in points only. Users and their points can be imported and exported by CSV.

The trade-offs come with CodeCanyon. Support lasts 6 months unless you pay to extend it, and there’s no YITH importer, so moving balances means matching YITH’s CSV export to SUMO’s import format.

Best for: stores that would rather pay once than renew every year.

Better than YITH for:

  • A one-time price instead of a yearly one
  • Paying for orders with points

Not as good as YITH for:

  • Support, which ends after 6 months unless extended
  • Moving from YITH, without a dedicated importer

Price: $49 one-time for a regular license, including future updates and 6 months of support. Support can be extended to 12 months for $16.50.

6. RewardsWP

RewardsWP website, a loyalty points and refer-a-friend plugin from the team behind AffiliateWP

RewardsWP comes from the team behind AffiliateWP and pairs a points program with refer-a-friend. The free version on WordPress.org gives points for purchases, sign-ups, first orders and reviews, redeemed as fixed discounts, plus a referral program and a floating rewards widget.

Paid plans add rewards for the referred friend as well as the customer who referred them, and the higher tiers add free shipping, free products, birthday rewards and VIP tiers. It works with Easy Digital Downloads as well as WooCommerce.

It’s the newest plugin here after ours, with 100+ active installs and 2 reviews, and its listing doesn’t mention importing points from another plugin. Reward types are also split across plans, so check which tier includes the ones you use in YITH.

Best for: stores where referrals bring in more customers than points do.

Better than YITH for:

  • Rewards for both sides of a referral
  • A free version to start with

Not as good as YITH for:

  • Track record, with 2 reviews so far
  • Moving from YITH, with no importer listed

Price: free on WordPress.org. Paid plans are $159 a year for one site (Basic), $199 for two (Plus) or $319 for five (Pro), with the first year at half price and a 14-day money-back guarantee.

How to move your customers’ points off YITH

The main risk in switching is a customer logging in to find their points gone or worth less than before. Whichever plugin you choose, these steps keep that from happening:

  1. Back up the site and export your points. YITH can export customer points to CSV. Keep that file as your record of every balance before the switch.
  2. Match the value of a point. Note YITH’s conversion rate, for example 100 points for $1 off, and set the same rate in the new plugin. If the rates differ, every customer’s balance changes in value overnight.
  3. Do a trial run on a staging copy. Import there first and compare a handful of customers against your CSV.
  4. Keep YITH active until the import is done. Importers read YITH’s data directly, so deactivating it first can leave them with nothing to read. Pick a quiet time, because points earned or spent during the switch may not come across.
  5. Check what doesn’t move. Points history, referral links and coupons customers have already converted from points usually stay behind. Test one of those coupons on staging after turning YITH off, and expect shared referral links to stop counting.
  6. Tell your customers. A short email explaining where their points now show in My Account saves a lot of support tickets.

Simple Points and Rewards and the Advanced Coupons Loyalty Program both have built-in YITH importers. With the others, you’ll be working from YITH’s CSV export, so check the plugin’s import format or ask its support before you start. Our guide to creating a loyalty program in WooCommerce covers choosing earning and redemption rates if you want to use the switch to reset them.

FAQ

Is YITH WooCommerce Points and Rewards free?

No. YITH closed the free version on WordPress.org in November 2021, so only the premium plugin is available. It was £139.99 a year for UK visitors when we checked, with a live demo and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Will customers lose their points if I switch from YITH?

Not if you import them before you turn YITH off. Balances belong to the plugin that created them, so a new plugin won’t see them on its own. Use an importer or YITH’s CSV export, check a few accounts by hand, and only then deactivate YITH.

Which alternatives can import YITH points?

Of the plugins here, Simple Points and Rewards and the Advanced Coupons Loyalty Program have importers that list YITH. Simple Points and Rewards brings over balances, lifetime points and birthdays in its free version. WP Swings and SUMO support CSV imports, which you can try with YITH’s CSV export.

What’s the best free alternative to YITH Points and Rewards?

It depends on what you need from the free version. WP Swings includes membership levels, WPLoyalty covers points for purchases with a well-reviewed upgrade path, and Simple Points and Rewards includes referrals, free product rewards and a YITH importer.

Should I switch to the official WooCommerce Points and Rewards extension?

Probably not if you use YITH’s levels or extra earning rules. The official extension costs $179 a year, keeps to points for purchases redeemed as a discount, and is rated 2.4/5 from 20 reviews on WooCommerce.com. It’s maintained by the WooCommerce team, which some stores value, but it does less than YITH for more money.

Can I run YITH and another points plugin at the same time?

Only during the switch. Two points programs side by side confuse customers and can award points twice on the same order. Turn off earning in YITH, import, check, and then deactivate it.

Which YITH Points and Rewards alternative should you pick?

Start from the reason you’re leaving. If you want points to become store credit, the Advanced Coupons Loyalty Program does that and imports from YITH. For a one-time price, SUMO is the cheapest over time. For membership tiers in a free plugin, try WP Swings, and WPLoyalty suits stores that want scheduled campaigns. We’d point most other stores to Simple Points and Rewards, mainly for the free version and the free YITH importer, but we’re biased and it’s far newer than YITH. Whatever you choose, run the import on a staging site first.
