Update 1.10.0 – Prize Wheel and Other Improvements!

Version 1.10.0 of Simple Points and Rewards is now available!

New Way to Earn: Prize Wheel

The main new feature of 1.10.0 is the brand new Prize Wheel way to earn points.

This allows you to offer customers a chance to win prizes on a fully customisable prize wheel.

To get started, simply enable the “Prize Wheel” option in the “Ways to Earn” settings tab.

You control the wheel segments, prizes, and odds, making it a fantastic way to gamify your loyalty program and drive more redemptions.

The probabilities will be displayed as a tooltip just under the prize wheel for transparency.

There are several different ways you can allow customers to earn spins:

• Give 1 free spin once per day, hour, week or one-time.
• Give free spins for every order they place.
• Give free spins when they level up.
• Allow them to claim spins with their existing points.

Simply enable and customise these as required.

Several other additional options are available to customise the prize wheel further.

Drag-and-Drop Reordering for Ways to Earn

You can now reorder the “Ways to Earn” items on the rewards dashboard and widget using a simple drag-and-drop interface in the settings.

This gives you full control over the order in which earning methods are presented to your customers, so you can highlight the most important ones first.

New Checkout Rewards Box Theme Style

A new “Theme Style” option has been added to the checkout rewards box settings, letting you choose between light and dark mode styles to match your store’s design.

New Color Options

Three new colour customisation options have been added:

• Main Text Color for the “Points Discount on Checkout” tool.
• Text Color for Product Pages: Points Display (single product pages).
• Text Color for Category/Shop Listings: Points Display.

These additions give you even more flexibility to match the loyalty program UI to your brand.

Template Coupon for Discount Vouchers

You can now select an existing WooCommerce coupon as a Template Coupon for Discount Voucher/Coupon rewards.

When a voucher is generated for a customer, all settings from the template coupon – including minimum spend, product restrictions, category restrictions, and more – are automatically copied across to the generated voucher.

A handy “Create New Template” button is also included for quick setup directly from the rewards settings.

Product & Product Category Conditional Rules

Two new condition types have been added to the Conditional Rules feature (PRO):

• Product – only modify points earning for specific products.
• Product: Category – only modify points earning for specific product categories.

This makes the conditional rules system even more powerful for stores with complex earning requirements.

Other Tweaks and Fixes

• Tweak: On the checkout rewards box, in the “My Vouchers” tab, it will now show any limitations on the voucher (minimum spend, product/category restrictions, etc) if they exist, to give customers more information about the voucher before applying it.
• Tweak: Added an option to show the confetti animation on the checkout rewards box when a reward is redeemed.
• Tweak: Always show the “Grant points now” button on the order edit page when points have not been awarded, regardless of the award timing setting, to allow manual awarding of points if needed.
• Tweak: Made a few tweaks to the admin header, and settings page footer.
• Tweak: Made a few small performance improvements.
• Fix: Fixed level multipliers not displaying more than 1 decimal place (e.g. “1.75” was incorrectly shown as “1.8”). The admin input now also supports 2 decimal places.
• Other: Updated translation files.
