For developers, 2.0.0 introduces a full API for registering your own<\/strong> ways to earn points, entirely from code, using
spar_register_custom_earn_way()<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nEach custom way supports points, earning frequency, a lifetime cap per user, role restrictions, an active start\/end date and time, and an optional countdown, dashboard card, and button – the same rich options as our built-in earning methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Registered ways appear read-only in the Ways to Earn<\/strong> settings (where you can see their rules and drag them into your preferred display order), and you award points from your code via
spar_award_custom_earn_way()<\/code> or thespar_custom_earn_trigger<\/code> action. There’s also aspar_custom_earn_points<\/code> filter to adjust the points on the fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThis makes it possible to reward almost any action on your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Free Product Bundle Reward<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Un nuevo Free Product Bundle<\/strong> reward type lets you select multiple products that are all added to the cart for free when a customer redeems the reward. The bundle products are added as individual line items – so they behave like a normal order – but are grouped and styled together as a single bundle in the cart and at checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Control Over Points on Orders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All configured limits now also appear in the checkout rewards box points summary tooltip, so customers understand the rules up front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Better “Write a Review” Rewards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each level now also has its own WordPress user capability<\/strong> that’s automatically granted to customers when they reach that level. That means you can restrict content to a level using a membership\/restriction plugin or your own code – a simple way to turn your loyalty tiers into real perks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Refreshed Ways to Earn Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We’ve redesigned the Ways to Earn<\/strong> settings so each earning method’s options are grouped into clearly separated, boxed sections laid out in responsive columns (up to three per row) for much easier scanning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alongside that, choosing icons is now far nicer. The Badge Icon<\/strong>, Icono de recompensa<\/strong>y Widget Icon<\/strong> dropdowns have been replaced with a modern visual icon picker that previews each option as a selectable box, and we’ve added many more Font Awesome icons to choose from. You can also now use an Upload \/ Select<\/strong> button to pick or upload a Custom Icon<\/strong> image straight from the WordPress media library instead of pasting a URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avalara Tax Reduction Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
For stores using tax automation, there’s a new “Apply tax reduction to redeemed points”<\/strong> option under the Points Discount on Checkout settings. When enabled, points redemptions are applied as a taxable discount fee, so services such as Avalara \/ AvaTax can correctly reduce the taxable order amount. It only appears on stores where an Avalara integration is detected (and defaults to enabled there), and adds a “Points redemption tax class”<\/strong> selector so the fee can use the default or a custom WooCommerce tax class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
